A very Muggy day in Houston

Today was a laid back day. Chris had a full day of work out in Kemah(by the ocean/yatch clubs) it went really well. Liam, Timba and me went for a long walk in the park and then just hung out at home, since it was really muggy today. After Liam went to sleep i went out to target and got Liam a swimsuit with build in floating pads so we're going to the pool tomorrow if its a nice day!

The ZOOO!

The Houston Zoo is BEAUTIFUL!!!we are only about 15 mintues away(depending on who is driving). We bought a membership and will be going lots more, we hardly got to see anything since Liam was tired and there is tons to see.

Internet..finally

We finally got internet today, after almost a week..and the guy who came to install it did the wrong kind(modem not wireless) but at least i have it..i had a bunch to do today finally got our address forwarded so we get letters:) Chris went out canvasing today all day and made some good contacts.On his way home he stopped and picked up a futon for our couch/guest bed. Then later he took Liam to the park and put him to bed while i ran out and picked up a table and four chairs...our apt is looking complete at last.we're starting to hang up all our pictures on the walls and paintings. Liam was very chatty today and kept running in circles yelling "bababababaaa". we went outside to play for a bit and he now has to take his turtle on wheels that uncle jeff gave him for christmas with him everywhere. He has become very much a truck/car/airplane boy. Everytime he hears an airplane in the sky he point to it and yells. I almost forgot i made a friend today. The family i went to go get the table from(bought it on craigslist)was a younger couple with a 2 year old girl. The mom stays at home with the daughter and comes to the park all the time that Liam and me go to so were going to meet up some time next week hopefully. We'll im off to eat dinnner with Chris at our new table, far away from Timba!!

Lost Dog-ALMOST!

Well, today was a crazy busy day full of driving all around huston which takes a few hours to get from one side to the other.Chris is still working so i left with Liam and Timba to try to find a home, again. The place we wanted and had all the paperwork in on fell through so we had to start all over again. This time it looks like we will be getting one of two places, leases were signed and submitted to pray that someone accepts us.We would get the one for sure if we didnt have a pet, which brings me to our pet...Liam and me got to a hotel around 8pm. Checked in got Liam in bed and thought Timba was under the bed hiding in fear.After a little while i looked for him and saw out the window him running back and forth by our door!This poor animal i dont know why he hasnt just run away after all we put him through. But it is all working out, i hope:) Liam has been so good, just playing in the car while i drive all around looking for houses. I got him a pack and play after he kept escaping the fort bed i built him last night...He went right to sleep tonight after i put mr.bunny and mr.one armed dog in with him.Glad today is drawing to a close again, once we get a place its going to be amazing after all we are going through trying to find something. The good news out of all this, the economy seems to be doing really good, hopefully Chris will get lots and lots of work!!Also hopefully he'll be done with work tomorrow so we can move into our place?!?

Belly Buttons!

This morning Liam discovered that his belly button was there everytime he lifted up his shirt..he was very happy about this, he also found mine for me and was very happy about this as well..today hopefully we find out if we can get the house and move it. Chris just worked all night and just got in to shower and nap for a little bit and then is off again to work!!So who knows what today will hold, but im sure it will be a bit stressful, but thank goodness we'll have Liam to lighten it with plenty of smiles and giggles:)

Thur-who knew the Texas housing market was so good!

So we've spent the last few days driving all around looking for houses to rent in the Katy area. Who knew that the housing market was so good, every time we find one we like there are already at least 4 applications of other people pending on them...so we havent found a place to stay yet, so Liam, Timba and me went out to Beaumont where Chris is working and are staying out here tonight. Hopefully the place we're trying to get goes through tomorrow and we can move in by the weekend.The place we're hopeing to get it really nice, right by the highschool's sports complex and right next to a playground. It is in the down down Katy area, which is really nice.Everything has been so busy and stressful, it is going to make having our own place feel ten times better then it normally would have..Timba has been such a good dog, mostly becuase he sits in the car and has to be dragged out to go eat and potty. he is so affraid of everything, it makes my life very easy.Liam is also been such a good trooper, when we drive around looking at houses Liam tests out the back yards, and then hops in the car to check out the next one. He is also being very good about taking naps on the go and sleeping in forts. Chris is such a great husband this was very hard for him to not have the security he would like for his family, considering everything he is handeling it swell.I have really started letting go of trying to control everything, which makes things go a lot smoother since i really dont have any control. I feel like this move was something that really put us in a tough place, but thats right where we needed to be. We needed to know that we have each other, that we have a loving supportive famliy back home, but that we can do this just the 3 of us. That we can live out of our car and hotel rooms while waiting for things to work out, this is not an easy thing for me. This is a lesson that i needed to learn though and i think im doing okay at it so far. I will be posting some pictures as soon as i can get to our stuff thats in a storage locker and get the cord to upload the pictures..love you all goodnight

today is going good so far

things are looking up this morning, they have cribs at the hotel so liams not able to escape the fort/bed i made him for last night.they have a really good free breakfast, which liam and i enjoyed this morning in our pj's..

Texas at last

Funny, how things dont always turn out as good as you picture them...We just made it to the plane in time, and after a long (3 hour) flight, right as Liam finally fell asleep we landed. Chris picked us up and we loaded into the car drove an hour and met up with a realator who showed us 4 houses..timba wouldnt stop shaking and move this whole time, we finally got some paper work done and put in a application for a house. drove to a hotel, got Liam bathed and in bed, timba walked and fed...such a long day and we even gained an hour..pray that we get this place and can move in tomorrow, we need some stablility right now!!im really stressed but at the same time when you push yourself, you can really find out what you are capable of..love you family and miss you tons!

Tomorrow's the big day!!

Tomorrow morning we're leaving to go finally see Chris in Texas.He went down 2 weeks ago for work and has been working hard during the day and at night driving around trying to find us a place to live. We're going to start the paperwork today on a rental house with a big back yard!!So hopefully  by thur we'll be able to move in. Chris drove the van down with all our stuff and we'll just be buying whatever else we need when we get there. Im flying down with Liam and the dog(Timba)so it should be fun. Hopefully Liam does as good on the airplane as he did when we went to Florida to vist his great grandparents. It snowed about 2 inches today in jackson michigan, and that sure does make Texas sound so much better. Liams also starting to get a bit of a cold/teething with back teeth..so it will be nice to have some sunny warm weather!

New Adventures

GOOD BYE COLD WEATHER! in two days starts the offical life of our family as texans.We will miss our family and friends but look forward to our new adventures!
